I have a new journal. If you'd like to read a bit about my journal here being shut down for 1 1/2 days then you can go here. I will warn you, you might not like what I said, or actually the way I said it. They have a great TOS policy at Mindsay. Actually, they don't really have one. They are all about free speech, and will not bother to take complaints unless you have actually commited a crime. I'll be writing about a variety of things. If don't want my frank honesty don't bother to visit. You do have to be a member to comment, and I haven't set up any kind of passwords so you can comment without being a member. However, if you are a friend of Alice's, she has passwords set up. If she has given you one, feel free to use it at my journal to comment. There's only one entry there for now, and I'll still be using this journal some. At least until I can get entries from here moved to a safe place.
We are loving our new house! It snowed some yesterday, but nothing that stuck. We've been enjoying fires in the wood stove, as the temp has been down in the 30's, and will go to the 20's tonight.
I talked to the kids into me decorating their play room as a their Christmas gift. They have a ton of toys, and don't need anymore. Santa will bring about 2 each, plus any they get from other friends and family. So Wednesday I made a trip to Lowe's. I ordered our dishwasher. It's a convertible, which means we can use it as a portable, and then when we have more time we can make it built in. I also got paint for the play room. A neighbor told me about this new magnetic paint that is actually a primer. You paint on 3 coats for best magnatism, and then you can paint anything over it. I bought chalk board paint for the top coat. Then I got soft linking mats for the floor. I also plan to buy them chairs, much like the Blue's Clue's thinking chair. The ones the kids have seen and like are not the same as the ones from the show. I think those will end up going under the Christmas tree. If I "finish" the playroom before Christmas they won't suspect they are getting anything else.
Matthew had some sort of stomach flu last night. I don't know what it is about cleaning up puke at 2:30 in the morning. You just do it, but today when I had to put all that stuff in the wash, I nearly got sick myself. Gross! Thankfully, after a several hour nap, Matthew is feeling better today. I'm hoping it was something he ate, and not the actual flu. The rest of us certainly don't need to be sick!
Ok, so I haven't gotten much done today. I've unpacked 4 boxes, washed 2 loads of laundry, and folded 2 already washed loads. I guess that means I need to get back to work, and off my butt. Have a great long weekend!
Hi hon,
