ACCESS DENIED!!! I WIN, I WIN!!!!!

  • Feeling: GLORIOUS!
  • Background noise: Regis and Kelly
  • Weather: Raining

OMG!!!!! I’m ROFLMAO!!! I’ve been banned. Now she knows I’m right. She only bans people who are right, and she can’t prove them wrong. This is hilarious. I only wish I had finished the post I was writing to her a little sooner. I rank right up there with you guys Heavy Chevy, Rob and the Commies now. Welcome me to your club will you? Ahahahahaha It’s raining outside, and will be for the entire day, but ah what a glorious day it is! This is really way too funny! You all better guard your journals now from the likes of me!

It’s ok Stupid girl, you are still welcome here anytime. Come on in, take your shoes off, sit for a while.

15 I've been dazzled!.

Of course you were. You can't make her look like a fool on her own turf...

I spoke with a couple of my buddies (neither of them are on LJ) who are active duty Army. They both said the CAB is a JOKE. One even said the CAB is being "released" and he won't wear it - his choice. He said it's more for "show" and to inflate ego's.

Awards aren't sacred like they once were...

One thing I've noticed is that Amy put down others (including your husband) in order to elevate her husband, and by proxy, herself. Being proud of a loved one is one thing, condescending to others in the process is another.

Why are medals and awards even important? The reward is in knowing you did the best you could. Any soldier that serves in Iraq is a hero/heroine in my eyes! Just by going they have placed their lives on the line and I can not say thank you enough.

My dad received awards when he was a Naval Fighter Pilot in Vietnam. He told me he didn't need to be singled out and that he didn't feel more important than the guy next to him. He would have been embarrassed and ashamed if my mom had bragged about him while giving back handed compliments to the wives of other men.

It's an attitude like that I respect the most. I do not respect people who act superior to others. Furthermore, the thing that aggravated me the most when my husband was in the Army were the wives who wore their husband's rank or used their husband's achievements to make themselves feel better.

I was proud of my husband just for volunteering. Rank meant nothing to me because the heart and soul of a soldier is far more important than what he/she wears on the collar.

Hi Kathy. I've never left a comment in your journal before, but I had to say, "Congratulations on making Amy's list of banned people." As I noted at Chevy's journal, she reminds me a lot of the Soup Nazi in Seinfeld - "No comments for you!"

I spent 15 years in the Army and won my share of awards, but I wore most of them proudly. Of course, there were the few exceptions like the "Good Conduct Medal," which everybody and his uncle got just for breathing. Don't know much about the CAB, but I believe you in a heartbeat over Ms. Proctor.

By the way, we're in the same neck of the woods. I live in Massena. Welcome to our North Country.

There just isn't a lot I can add to this discussion, however I will offer a few quotes:

"I can win an argument on any topic, against any opponent. People know this, and steer clear of me at parties. Often, as a sign of their great respect, they don't even invite me."
Dave Barry (1947 - )

" It is impossible to defeat an ignorant man in argument."
William G. McAdoo (1863 - 1941)

That is all.... :)

Kathy, I followed the argument from far.

I found it pretty disturbing the way she brought your husband down to make her point. It was very rude and I felt bad for your husband. It's very good that he did not care.

Her latest post she admited somehow that a lot of them would get the award but then she played on the words and said but not "ALL" (ie: just to show that you were 'wrong' and she was 'right').

Of course we all knew that you meant "a lot of people" can get the award (1/3 is a lot).
And that's the impression I had from reading the description on the army website.

Even more sad is the way Johnny praised himself, lol. That was legend.
This guy must have quite a low self esteem inside himself.

Donnna, well said, you definitively would make a great commie ! :)

Hmmm....that's strange I posted yesterday and it didn't go through.

Weird..:-?

My question was, what did I miss? I have no idea what everyone is talking about. Leave it to me, to be in the dark.

You would think Shorty was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize or something. Anyone can get the CAB award. I totally agrre with Kathy on that......

Kathy, Welcome to our club now! ;)

Hey Alice, I love the pic you posted. LOL

I was told by a friend, how to get into Amy's journal yesterday. I can even still post there if I'd like, and there is nothing she can do about it. I'll be coming up with an interesting post in the next couple of days. Today I was occupied with comforting my widow neighbor. I had never met her, only her children. She is wonderful, and I am said we had to met under such circumstances. She can take up to a year to move out of military quarters now, but I'm sure she will be moving on soon.

Chevy, found ya. :)

Leticia, it's a big mess. I got banned from Amy's journal cause she found I really am right. She has only ever banned someone who has proved her wrong. I hope we can still remain friends without Amy in the middle.

Alice, great poster, wonderful qoutes! I knew I always liked Dave Barry for a reason. ;)

Zoroxstar, I had a feeling you would have been reading the argument. I hope there are no hard feelings with us. You guys can be overbearing at times, but when you take out the Amy factor it sure does change things. As for her saying "but not ALL", she needs to learn to read between the lines. Of course I didn't mean allllll the soldiers could get the CAB. However, the vast majority, more then any 1/3, will be getting that award. Amy just doesn't like to be told she's wrong. Funny how I got banned right before she admitted that I was right, and she was wrong.

Bob, it's nice to meet you. :) I had no idea you were so close. The North Country should prove interesting in the next few months! Have we now seen the last of the really warm weather? I can't believe it got cold so fast. You are right about Amy and soup nazi! LOL I've read your comment about that at Chevy's before.

Donna, I could pick apart your comment, and reply to it all, but you certainly know where I stand on it all. As I've said before, I'm glad we are on the same side, and that we agree on many issues.
